WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump denounced the spouse of top aide Kellyanne Conway as a “total loser” on Tuesday, after he questioned the president’s mental stability.

George Conway, an attorney, quickly responded with a mocking tweet of his own.

“Congratulations!” he said. “You just guaranteed that millions of more people are going to learn about narcissistic personality disorder and malignant narcissism! Great job!”

For his part, Trump retweeted a comment from his 2020 campaign manager, Brad Parscale, who said George Conway is mad at Trump because he did not get a desired position in the Trump administration.

“We all know that @realDonaldTrump turned down Mr. Kellyanne Conway for a job he desperately wanted,” Parscale said, adding: “Now he hurts his wife because he is jealous of her success. POTUS doesn’t even know him!”

This all came after George Conway’s response to a massive tweet storm from Trump over the weekend.

In some 50 posts, Trump attacked the media, the late Sen. John McCain, NBC’s Saturday Night Live, and the various federal investigations into his administration and Russia interference into the 2016 election – a deluge that inspired questions about the president’s mentality, including some from George Conway, a frequent critic of Trump.

“His condition is getting worse,” George Conway tweeted Sunday.

George Conway has also tweeted out the medical definition of “narcissistic personality disorder” – something he did again Tuesday, following Trump’s rhetorical attack.

“Tell us, @realDonaldTrump—which of these diagnostic criteria do you not satisfy?” Conway asked.

Kellyanne Conway has said she disagrees about her husband’s assessment of the president’s mental health.

“No, I don’t share those concerns,” she told reporters on Monday.
